About the Practice: Meeting Dr. Joelle Broffman
Haven Cognitive Care was founded by Dr. Joelle Broffman, a Board Certified Clinical Neuropsychologist with expertise in adult neuropsychological assessment, cognitive rehabilitation, and psychotherapy for adjustment to neurological injury/new neurocognitive diagnosis.
Dr. Broffman brings to her clients 15+ years of educational training at UCLA and Pepperdine University, combined with cutting edge clinical training at world-renown healthcare facilities including the Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center and multiple Veterans Affairs hospitals, including the Polytrauma System of Care at the VA Palo Alto. She is currently on staff at El Camino Hospital, where she is the Coordinator of Outpatient Neuropsychological Services. Dr. Broffman holds professional memberships in regional and national neurological and neuropsychological organizations, including the American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology, the American Board of Professional Psychology, the San Francisco Neurological Society, and the Northern California Neuropsychology Forum.
Dr. Broffman has a deep and personal understanding that neurological injuries and new cognitive diagnoses are life-changing for patients and loved ones alike. In that light, Dr. Broffman takes a compassionate, whole-person and family approach to the evaluation, management, rehabilitation, and support of the patients in her practice.
Dr. Broffman also enjoys helping legal stakeholders answer medical-legal questions by providing evidence-based, impartial neuropsychological evaluations of neurocognitive and neuropsychiatric symptoms.
